Tree planting in our school grounds. - 14 March 2007

We have planted some new trees in the school grounds as part of a science project.  They were kindly donated by the Woodland Trust who provide small trees for schools to plant free of charge. With the help of class teacher Mr. Kirkham and Mr. Tozer, a school governor, children planted 10 Silver Birch, 10 Rowan Mountain Ash and 10 Flowering Cherry trees. The children were amazed that they would be adults before the trees were fully grown and were proud to think that in years to come other school children will enjoy the beauty of these trees that we have planted on March 14th 2007.
