Swimming Gala brings more success for MGJ

A report by Patrick, Joshua, James and Holly.

MGJS vs. RAAS

The gala against Royal Alexandra was a big success. It brought 4 generations together; Patrick and Isobel, their Mum and Granny as well as 98 year old great granny. Together with 24 other swimmers, MGJS was having their first gala. Lots of us were very nervous as it was our first ever event. The afternoon started with butterfly and moved onto Relays and individuals. Then finally we ended the gala with an exhilarating squadron relay which we won by using every last drop of energy and strength left in our tank. Before we left we had the tense results to face. WE WON 84 points to 66 points! There were smiles all around. We congratulated each other, had a shower, a well deserved packet of crisps and went home, truly satisfied.

I would like to congratulate all swimmers for their excellent achievement. They should be very proud!
