Project X CODE
The Project X Code intervention is being run by Mrs Powell
Project X Code is a literacy intervention programme which aims to improve reading skills in children who need extra support. Through exciting stories featuring engaging characters, the children are able to develop their phonics knowledge, apply it to their reading and work on key comprehension skills. Each session features a story which takes the children into Microworld, a theme park where Team X have to collect special Code keys. Children take it in turns to read and alongside reading the story there is plenty of opportunity for discussion. The intervention consists of 3 or 4 afternoon sessions per week, 20 minutes in each session with the programme lasting for 10 weeks to a term in length.
