Our school remembers...

Our school has been taking part in the Poppy Appeal as part of the Royal British Legion's fundraising campaign. Children have also been writing poems, sewing poppies and making silhouettes and posters.

They have learnt that the poppy is a symbol of remembrance and hope. It is worn by millions of people every year and they are red to reflect the natural colour of field poppies. All year groups have been involved and on Friday James McKellar from the RAF Association came to the school to give an inspirational talk about his career in the RAF.
