John Hillman - Co-opted Governor
I have been a governor for over 12 years serving at an infant and a secondary school in addition to my terms at Meath Green Junior School.
I have 25 years’ experience working for a FTSE 100 Wealth management company in data management and operational risk roles. More recently I took a position as a commercial data manager at a utility company.
I originally joined as parent governor wanting to find out more about my child’s school and education, hoping I could contribute something to the school in return. I have a good head for data and coming from a risk and compliance background I like to ask questions and challenge the school to make sure that policies and reports are working effectively. I have sat on most committees in the school at one time or another during my terms of service.
I am married with four daughters all whom have now left Meath Green Juniors but they all spent some very happy years there. I am a keen runner and have run a number of marathons. I am active in my local church and volunteer as a Street Pastor, at East Surrey Winter Night shelter and at the local food bank.
