Girls Football Match Report by Isobel Florida James and Katie Dungate
MGJ Yr5/6 vs St Johns Yr 5/6

On Thursday 21st November 2013 after school some of Meath Green's girl football players got an opportunity to put their training in to practice, when St. Johns came to play us in our first all girls football match.
When St.Johns showed up we started straight away, the match was off to a good start we had scored 2 goals in the first 5 minutes.  There were a lot of good saves by the St. Johns goalie but also a lot of goals for us, no goals had gone in the back of our net yet and Katy Sheeran made a fantastic save close to half time.
The half time whistle blew and the score was MGJS-8, St. Johns-0.

At the start of the second half we had a new goalie, Isobel Florida-James.  Once again it was a good start for Meath Green as we scored in the first 2 minutes, the ball then came down our end and Isobel made a brilliant save right on the line.  The ball was then kicked to Libby Bance who ran with it, had a shot and scored again!
We carried on playing like this with great tackles and more goals, the final whistle blew and we had won 15-0, that's a lot of goals!
What a way to win our first all girls football match with a 15-0 final result!
Well done to all the girls it was a true team effort.
