Our choir and orchestra carol concert got everyone into the festive spirit during a recent performance. Many parents and guests enjoyed a good sing along and commented how accomplished the performance was. Mince pies and hot drinks were served as well, helping to get everyone looking forward to the Christmas season.
Our choir are a group run by Mr McMorrin, Miss Cliff and Miss Lowson who meet weekly to practise and enjoy singing. They often sing at local concerts and have gained a well-deserved reputation for singing like angels.
Congratulations also to the 8 Meath Green pupils who play in the orchestra. They have learnt so many skills in addition to actually playing their instruments and are all competent members of the orchestra. Enormous thanks also to the adults who support the school pupils, without whom the orchestra could not function.
Anyone interested in joining the orchestra should speak to Mrs. Nye or leave a message with the school office. As a rough guide, if you have had lessons for about a year, you can probably manage orchestra. Adult players also very welcome.
