From Super Heroes to Super Sleuths and Mary Poppins to ‘merry’ pirates our children were transformed into their favorite book characters to mark the beginning of Book Week. A walk around the playground was like turning the pages of an impossible 3D book. But there it was, with wizards and ghosts, witches and Daleks all getting on surprisingly well together! Even Peter Pan flew in with Tinkerbell. The Grim Reaper looked happier than usual and a scarecrow looked, well, scared! Teachers also dressed up and became a famous book character and the children had to guess who they were, what book they were from and what was the name of the book’s author. It was difficult to know who was having the most fun, but we think they all deserve an award for such wonderful imagination. Thank you to all our parents for your fantastic help in preparing the costumes.
