Athletics team sweep all aside with overwhelming victory
Our Year 5 and 6 athletics team competed against fifteen other schools at Donyngs Recreation Centre, Redhill. Boys and girls gave their very best performance in the track and field events, both groups winning their heats in the relay races.
Despite knowing they had done well there were still anxious moments as the winners were announced at the medal ceremony. In third place was Walton on the Hill, second place was Burstow and finally in 1st place... with a difference of 96 points came Meath Green Junior.
What a great result for our school and well done to all our fantastic team. Miss Fremault is very proud of the 20 athletes who will now go through to the county competition on the 16th March at the Spectrum in Guildford.
