What's it all about?

All parents and guardians are automatically Friends of Meath Green Junior School (FOMGJS) – everyone is welcome. The Friends Committee is a group of enthusiastic volunteers who commit their time and energy to ensure that the children of Meath Green Junior School enjoy fun events and activities throughout the year while raising necessary funds. We also try to keep the FUN in FUNdraising!

All money raised greatly benefits the children by providing extra equipment and facilities that school funds cannot cover. A perfect example is the Adventure Play area which was purchased in March 2009 – it has been used all year round and has been a fantastic addition to the school.

We are also committed to developing and extending relationships between staff, parents and others associated with the school. We welcome new people and new ideas. So please come and join us at one of the meetings, just to find out more or to join in the fun.

‘Thanks to everyone who came to Bingo night – we had a great fun evening and managed to raise around £200. Thanks to Leslie Anderson who organised borrowing the bingo machine from Regent Hall and thanks to Cyril for doing the calling.’
